Scholarship Information
Clarence L. Remynse, a native of Kalamazoo, was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and Kalamazoo College. Upon graduation from Kalamazoo College, he stayed in Kalamazoo to run the Remynse Construction company. Upon his death in 1989, a scholarship fund bearing his name was established at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation along with a legacy of education, hard work and devotion to community.

Eligibility Criteria
Kalamazoo County high school senior with permanent residency for at least 12 months prior to application or a graduating senior who has been enrolled in a high school within Kalamazoo County at least 12 months prior to application; enrolling full time in a bachelor's degree program at a regionally accredited college or university leading to a career in business, science (including math and engineering), law, education, medicine or psychology; participation in school and community activities indicating potential for leadership; high moral character; academic achievement; financial need, according to the 2010/2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Application Requirements
The following must be submitted to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation:
One copy of the complete Clarence L. Remynse Scholarship Application (application, essay and recommendations).
One copy of an official cumulative high school transcript through the most recent term, including ACT/SAT scores.
The following must be sent to the college(s) of your choice by March 15:
The Financial Information Summary Form.

Renewable for up to three years.
