Grants Overview
   

The Kalamazoo Community Foundation makes community investments in quality programs that enhance the quality of life of all members of the greater Kalamazoo community.

Grants from the Community Foundation ensure all of our children have an equal chance for success in school, nurture and prepare all of our young people for life beyond school, support individuals and families from all walks of life, and enhance community prosperity in every corner of Kalamazoo County.

Application Deadlines

Grant applications are due by 5 p.m. of the date listed or the next business day if the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday. Before you apply, you need to schedule a pre-application conversation with a member of our Community Investment team. This conversation must take place at least two weeks before the application deadline.

What We Fund

The Kalamazoo Community Foundation provides grant support to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations for projects that fit within our community investment priorities and will benefit residents of Kalamazoo County. We do accept applications for grants that will provide capital and operational support.

What We Don't Fund

The Kalamazoo Community Foundation does not fund for-profit business development projects, private land purchases or private home purchases. We also do not provide grants to individuals other than academic scholarships.
