The Lifeline Initiative
A Partnership of the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region and Kalamazoo Community Foundation
Now more than ever, members of our community are experiencing the hardships of unemployment, housing loss or insecurity, and economic uncertainty. While Kalamazoo County is doing better than most of Michigan, the effects of the economic downturn on our community are very real and community needs are great. The Kalamazoo Community Foundation and the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region have partnered to address urgent human needs by establishing the Lifeline Initiative, a rapid response to the economic storm battering our community.
