The Kalamazoo Community Foundation offers the scholarships listed here to Kalamazoo and Van Buren County students or students who attend a Kalamazoo or Van Buren County high school. We invite you to review the eligibility criteria for all of the scholarships to determine the ones that may be right for you.
All of our scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, room and board, books, transportation and personal expenses associated with the cost of education. To apply for a Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarship, you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien (green card holder).
To compare more than one scholarship: Using the check boxes to the left, select the scholarships you are interested in (or click Check All to select all scholarships), scroll to the bottom of the screen and click View All Checked.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kalamazoo County or a graduate of a high school within Kalamazoo County and be a full-time incoming junior or senior college undergraduate student or be enrolling full time in or currently enrolled full time in a graduate degree program.
Must be enrolled full time in a bachelor's degree program or enrolling in or currently enrolled in a master's degree or professional degree program at Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, the University of Colorado, or the University of Wisconsin.
Must have a minimium 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale (or equivalent) through the most recent term/semester.
Must demonstrate participation in college and/or community activities as well as demonstration of work experience. Leadership, awards and recognitions will also be considered.
The following must be mailed or delivered to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation by March 31:
