Lifeline Initiative Funding Priorities and Application Deadlines

The Lifeline Initiative's funding priorities are basic human needs, such as:

• Shelter and housing (obtaining or maintaining)
• Food
• Safety and security
• Clothing
• Transportation
• Quality child care
• Access to health care (including medical, mental, dental and preventative)


Lifeline Initiative grant applications are due by 5 p.m. on the first business day of:

• March
• June
• September
• December


Your organization's first step in the grant application process is to review the priorities listed above to determine if your project fits within those priorities. Once you have determined that your project fits, contact Dave Gardiner of the Kalamazoo Community Foundation at (269) 381-4416 or Denise Hartsough of the Greater Kalamazoo United Way at (269) 343-2524 to request an application, which you will complete and submit online.
