The Kalamazoo Community Foundation seeks to be a responsive and proactive community partner that works strategically to address existing and emerging community issues. Since it was established, the Community Foundation has invested approximately $289 million in the form of grants to nonprofit organizations. The grants enable the organizations to address pressing needs and enhance the quality of life for countless citizens.

The Kalamazoo Community Foundation helps individuals, families, businesses and nonprofit organizations achieve their charitable and financial goals by providing tools and resources that make giving easy, flexible and effective. We are devoted to building permanent endowments to meet the charitable needs of the community for this generation and many generations to follow. When you create an endowed charitable fund or give to an existing endowed fund at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, your gift will enhance the quality of life in our community forever. Your gift is invested, and because the principal can never be used, income (subject to a spending policy) will enable grants to address the community's current and ever-changing needs.
