The Spirit of Community Funds
Your gift to one or more of the Kalamazoo Community Foundation's Spirit of Community Funds will become a permanent investment in our community and will address the community's most pressing needs.
Spirit of Community Fund Your gift will be used by the Community Foundation's board of trustees to address the community's changing needs, facilitate innovative responses to community problems, and enhance the quality of life for all residents.
Economic and Community Development Fund Your gift will provide resources for neighborhood revitalization projects, as well as support for small businesses, job training and other programs to help the greater Kalamazoo area sustain a rich and dynamic local economy.
Education and Learning Fund Your gift will support programs that help parents prepare their young children for school and give all children an equal chance for success.
Environment Fund Your gift will support programs that preserve and protect the beauty of the greater Kalamazoo area's natural environment.
Health Fund Your gift will support programs that give individuals and families the care they need, especially those without insurance coverage or those who could not otherwise afford quality health care.
Housing Fund Your gift will support programs that provide safe and affordable housing for individuals and families in our community.
Individuals and Families Fund Your gift will support programs that enable community residents to meet their basic needs for food, clothing, shelter and care, and help provide a nurturing environment for children.
Youth Development Fund Your gift will help support programs that build bridges to create a sense of unity across race, class or ethnicity, encourage individuals to look after their neighbor and help youths feel a strong sense of community belonging.
Partners in Education Scholarship Fund Your gift to this fund will support scholarships for local high school students who are pursuing their dreams of attending colleges and universities in Michigan.
