Community Investment Officer, Racial Equity Initiative
This position supports the community and the Kalamazoo Community Foundation in ensuring the design and management of a high-quality Racial Equity Initiative. In doing so, it oversees the development, planning and implementation of the initiative; communicates with a diverse group of individuals; fosters new and existing relationships with partners and other leaders to effect systems change; and manages program evaluation and data collection. The position also works with other functional areas within the Community Foundation to develop partnerships related to the Racial Equity Initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of intellectual curiosity, innovation, social awareness and judgment and have the ability to think in a multifaceted way. Receptionist/Office Assistant
This position functions as receptionist and office assistant for the Kalamazoo Community Foundation. In doing so, it answers incoming phone calls and forwards to the appropriate person; greets guests and notifies the appropriate person of their arrival; and maintains the public and common areas of the Community Foundation. It understands the importance of this position as the initial contact between guests/visitors and the Community Foundation and the need to maintain a professional manner and pleasant attitude in order to promote a positive relationship between the community and the organization. It maintains the Community Foundation's filing system; performs clerical functions such as typing, ordering supplies, processing mail and maintaining logs; overseeing petty cash; maintaining voicemail system; and monitoring computer/office equipment and calling for service as needed. The ideal candidate will be a talented and motivated individual who has the ability to present a positive image as a representative of the Community Foundation; promote a positive relationship with the community; generate ideas to enhance service to our customers; work independently and actively participate as a team member; and use good judgment and strong organizational skills.
