The Kalamazoo Community Foundation has three geographic affiliates: the Bangor Area Community Foundation, the Covert Township Community Foundation, and the South Haven Community Foundation, serving communities in Van Buren County. Geographic affiliates are led by local advisory boards made up of community volunteers, who under the guidance of the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, help identify the current and emerging the charitable needs of these communities, provide community leadership and are involved in efforts to encourage charitable giving among residents.
