Located on the corner of East Michigan Avenue and Pitcher Street on the edge of the Edison neighborhood in downtown Kalamazoo, our building was originally constructed in 1870 to serve as the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad Kalamazoo Station. It was renovated in 2000 (winning a State of Michigan Historic Preservation Award) and again when it became the Community Foundation's home in 2014. It's also on the National Register of Historic Places.
When Arcus Foundation gifted us our building, we all agreed it should be a welcoming space that inspires collaboration. Since then, thousands of area residents have visited our building attending meetings of a variety of local organizations.
