Hello, My Name Is...Stephanie

The first person you’ll probably meet when you visit the Kalamazoo Community Foundation is our receptionist, Stephanie Carrier, who joined our team in 2010.

What do you actually do all day in your job? Socialize. Except when I’m filing, assisting with technology-related issues, processing gifts, proofreading grant letters, ordering office supplies, running budget reports and assisting with FTE spreadsheets.

Favorite Kalamazooan (living or dead, real or fictional) The person who developed the marketing behind the Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo! products. I love those kazoos and t-shirts!

Favorite book from childhood The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss

Favorite ice cream flavor Chocolate Peanut Butter

If you could choose a super power, what would it be and why? Is time travel a super power? If so, I would like to go back to see my teenage daughters when they were babies and visit other parts of my life that have brought me joy.

What do you like most about living in Kalamazoo? Simply that it is where my roots are. There is always something to do and I love a lot of the people who live here.
