Hello, my name is...Felix

Felix Brooks Jr., the community investment officer for The Learning Network of Greater Kalamazoo, is the latest addition to our team, joining the Community Foundation in the fall of 2012. Felix has a dapper sense of personal style, great taste in art and, as a downtown resident, the shortest commute to our office in the Comerica Building on Rose Street.

What do you actually do all day?  Go to a lot of meetings and meet some interesting people.

What’s the best part of your job?  Relationships.

Favorite flavor of ice cream  Butter Pecan.

Most-played song on his iPod  Aja by Steely Dan.

Favorite book  The Constant Gardener by John le Carré.

Favorite smart phone or tablet app  Google Search.

Guilty pleasure  Oatmeal cookies warm with ice cream on top.

Plain or peanut M&M’s?  Peanut (of course).

Favorite movie  Chinatown with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway.

If you could choose a super power, what would it be?

  The ability to fly.

Why do you love where you live?  The easy pace of life and living downtown. Being close
to my family — especially the grandkids.
