Scholarship Search

There are literally thousands of scholarships available to students today. We want to help you find and take full advantage of all the opportunities available to you. This scholarship search tool focuses on the sources of aid available by the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.

Many of the scholarships listed here are for high school seniors, but there also are several for students already enrolled in college and non-traditional students. The descriptions shown are a summary and may not provide complete eligibility requirements. All Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, room and board, books, transportation and personal expenses associated with the cost of education.

Scholarship Information

The Jim Cristy Swimming Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students who desire to participate in Kalamazoo County competitive swimming programs, but need financial assistance to do so.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who are Kalamazoo County residents or attend an elementary middle or high school within Kalamazoo County are eligible to apply. Must be recommended by a professional employee in their school system or a swimming instructor and meet academic eligibility standards for participation in athletics as defined by his or her school system (middle school and high schools students only). Must demonstrate financial need.

Application Requirements

The completed application, a recommendation from swimming coach or swimming instructor and verification of income (first page of most recent income tax return) must be submitted to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.
We recommend doing multiple searches, entering one interest area each time, such as: Arts, athletics, business, education, golf, law, merit, non-traditional, restaurant, science, technology, vocational.
