Scholarship Search

There are literally thousands of scholarships available to students today. We want to help you find and take full advantage of all the opportunities available to you. This scholarship search tool focuses on the sources of aid available by the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.

Many of the scholarships listed here are for high school seniors, but there also are several for students already enrolled in college and non-traditional students. The descriptions shown are a summary and may not provide complete eligibility requirements. All Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, room and board, books, transportation and personal expenses associated with the cost of education.

How To Apply

Scholarship Information

This fund was established in 2007, through a gift from the estate of Ann N. MacGregor, to provide scholarship assistance for incoming freshmen, undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a visual arts curriculum in a degree-granting program.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduating high school senior, current undergraduate or graduate student who is a Kalamazoo County resident or is graduating or graduated from a Kalamazoo County high school; planning to enroll or currently enrolled full time in a degree-granting college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student in a visual arts program. Current undergraduate or graduate students must have a minimum 2.75 GPA. Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need according to the FAFSA.

Application Requirements

  1. eGRANT scholarship application: Complete and submit one eGRANT scholarship application. We will match you to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarship(s) that you are eligible for.
  2. If you are matched to this scholarship we will notify you, via email, that two Letters of Recommendation and recommendation forms, completed by adults other than family member, will be required.
  3. An official high school cumulative transcript through the first semester or trimester of the senior year including SAT/ACT score(s); or an official college transcript through the most recent semester/term, whichever is applicable.
  4. Provide photocopies, photographs or digital media with samples of your original visual art. A link to a private Dropbox folder will be emailed to you after you submit your application so that you may upload your samples.
  5. Financial need may be a consideration for this scholarship. If you have applied for financial aid by filling the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are applying for a need-based scholarship, please complete the student section of the Financial Information Summary form and then forward the form to the college financial aid office where you have been accepted. They will complete the form and return it to our office.
