Scholarship Search

There are literally thousands of scholarships available to students today. We want to help you find and take full advantage of all the opportunities available to you. This scholarship search tool focuses on the sources of aid available by the Kalamazoo Community Foundation.

Many of the scholarships listed here are for high school seniors, but there also are several for students already enrolled in college and non-traditional students. The descriptions shown are a summary and may not provide complete eligibility requirements. All Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, room and board, books, transportation and personal expenses associated with the cost of education.

Scholarship Information

The purpose of this scholarship is two-fold: To provide financial assistance for qualified students enrolled in a Radiology Technology, Ultrasound, Sonography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Nuclear Medicine Technology program; and, to provide supplemental funds for postgraduate education to qualified registered radiologic technologists.

Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate applicants must be permanent residents of Kalamazoo County or receive their clinical or didactic training in a facility within Kalamazoo County; pursuing a degree in Radiologic Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Nuclear Medicine Technology or Ultrasound Sonography; academic achievement. Applicants requesting assistance for postgraduate education must be permanent residents of Kalamazoo County who are currently employed full or part-time as a Registered Radiology Technologist or must be current Registered Radiology Technologists permanently employed full or part-time by an agency within Kalamazoo County.

Application Requirements

Current undergraduate students applying for degree/certification assistance must submit the following to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation:

  1. Completed application including statement of educational/professional plans/financial need.
  2. Most current transcript from high school, school of Radiology Technology or college.
  3. One letter of recommendation from an instructor.
  4. A copy of your financial aid award letter if you have applied for financial aid.

Current radiology technologists applying for continuing education must submit the following to the Kalamazoo Community Foundation:

  1. Completed application including statement of continuing education/professional development plans.
  2. One recommendation from your department supervisor.
  3. If requesting reimbursement for a meeting attended, attach receipts/certificates.
  4. If requesting for a future conference, receipts/certificates must be forwarded upon completion of the event.
