Kristie May is the managing editor for NowKalamazoo, an independent, local news startup committed to disrupting the local news ecosystem's top-down
approach. She oversees and produces content for the digital news site, daily email newsletter, and social media accounts. May moved into the position in 2022 after working five years in local television newsrooms as a producer and eventually executive producer. The Birmingham, Alabama native earned a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami.
