The deadline is March 1 to apply for Kalamazoo Community Foundation scholarships available for graduating high school seniors, current college students, and non-traditional students.

Scholarships have a variety of eligibility criteria with awards ranging from $500 to $7,500. These competitive scholarships are based on merit and/or financial need, and some are renewable.

The majority of scholarships are for Kalamazoo County residents or for students graduating or having graduated from a high school in Kalamazoo County (including public, private, or alternative schools or home-schooled).

"We’re here to help students navigate the application process," says Nancy Timmons, scholarship manager. "Students should have plenty of time to determine which scholarship opportunities best fit their needs. For those without computer access, please contact us to use our computers to fill out an application."

Scholarship applications are available online at www.kalfound.org/scholarships or by calling 269-381-4416.

Each year, the Community Foundation awards approximately 350 scholarships from 53 different scholarships funds. Almost $29 million in scholarships has been awarded to area students over the years.
