Scholarship Information
Friends and family of Mildred McConkey, an English teacher at Kalamazoo Central High School from 1926 to 1958, established the Mildred McConkey Memorial Scholarship as a tribute to her in 1983.
The scholarship provides financial support to a senior from Kalamazoo Central or Loy Norrix High School and is intended to recognize noteworthy improvement during the student's three to four years of high school coursework in English composition.
