Scholarship Criteria

Junior or senior college undergraduate or graduate student (any level) at Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, University of Colorado or the University of Wisconsin; full-time enrollment at a college/university; minimum 3.0 GPA; participation in college/community activities; work experience.

Kalamazoo Public Library Amanda Green Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria

BIPOC who is a resident of Kalamazoo County or graduate of a Kalamazoo County High School who earned an undergraduate degree or will be earning one within a year of applying. Field of study is Library and Information Services at a school that is accredited by the American Library Association.

Scholarship Criteria

A student who is enrolled in a Master's, Ph.D. or professional degree program; full-time enrollment at a college/university; minimum 3.0 GPA.

Earl Haas Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria

Kalamazoo County resident who is a graduate of a high school, alternative school, or GED program; or graduate of a Kalamazoo County high school, alternative school, or GED program in Kalamazoo County; part-time or full-time enrollment pursuing vocational or technical training, trade school, certificate program, two-year or four-year program.

Scholarship Criteria

Child or grandchild of a currently employed or retired certified law enforcement officer, certified firefighter, licensed EMT or first responder, or licensed paramedic employed within Kalamazoo County; minimum 2.5 GPA; full-time or part-time enrollment to earn a certificate, associate's, bachelor's post-graduate degree.

Jean Hunse Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria

Student who is a permanent resident of Kalamazoo County or has graduated from a high school within Kalamazoo County; enrolling or enrolled as a junior, senior, or fifth-year senior in the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University; business major; preference for accounting; minimum 3.5 GPA; full-time or part-time enrollment.

Derek Jeter Scholarship

Scholarship Criteria

Graduating high school senior; demonstration of leadership and involvement in school and community activities that advocate a substance-free lifestyle; minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum 1060 SAT or minimum 21 ACT; full-time enrollment at a college/university.

Jeter’s Leaders are ineligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Criteria

Graduating high school senior who has participated in Kalamazoo Junior Golf Association events; pursuing a four-year degree; full-time enrollment at a college/university; minimum 2.5 GPA. Multiple awards given.
